In maximum danger of fire are the municipalities of Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, Tavira, Castro Marim (Faro), Chamusca, Constância, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Abrantes, Tomar, Ferreira do Zêzere, Sardoal, Mação (Santarém), Vila de Rei, Proença-a-Nova, Vila Velha de Ródão, Fundão, Covilhã, Belmonte (Castelo Branco), Gavião, Nisa (Portalegre) and Oliveira do Hospital (Coimbra).


The IPMA has also placed more than 80 municipalities of Faro, Beja, Santarém, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Leiria, Coimbra, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, and Bragança at very high risk.


The IPMA forecasts for today clear skies with isolated scattered clouds, with cloudy periods in the central coast until early morning and weak to moderate wind from the north quadrant, blowing sometimes strong on the west coast and the highlands, especially from the afternoon.


The forecast also points to fog or mist in the morning in some parts of the central coast and a slight increase in temperature, especially in the interior.


The minimum temperatures range between 16 degrees Celsius (in Coimbra and Leiria) and 25 (in Faro) and the maximum between 24 (in Aveiro) and 40 (in Evora and Beja).
