The company clarifys that the problem was found in batch OSK0934422 of the Milka 37g Oreo Choco bar, with an expiration date of 01/08/2024 and the barcode 762221071869. The entity requested, that consumers who have purchased these chocolates discard them.

"Mondelēz International confirms that this problem is an isolated case in this specific batch", it pointed out in a statement, while noting that "the remaining portfolio of Mondelēz Portugal's Oreo and Milka products is not affected by this incident".

The company also stated that the decision “is merely a preventive measure”.

"In any case, and in line with the company's policy, in prioritising the safety of its consumers, the necessary preventive measures were taken in coordination with the authorities and the collection of all bars from the affected batch was requested", according to a report by NM.
