"Several media outlets published news, citing an alleged statement from the CMA, reporting a traffic closure on the 25 de Abril Bridge on February 25, 2025. This news is false, there is no traffic closure scheduled for the aforementioned date, and the CMA has never issued any statement with this content", the municipality assured in a statement sent to newsrooms.

In the note, Almada City Council guaranteed that "traffic on the 25 de Abril Bridge will proceed normally and there will be no interruptions or restrictions for drivers".

In turn, Brisa announced that there will be a "total cut" of the Complementary Itinerary (IC) 20 "in the Almada/Caparica direction, between the A2/IC20 Junction and the Hospital Junction" on Wednesday to Friday nights due to works.

Traffic on the Lisbon/Caparica branch of the A2/IC20 junction will also be interrupted and "detours will be carried out through the commercial area to return to their respective destinations at the hospital junction".

On Thursday and Friday nights, "traffic will be interrupted in the Caparica-Almada direction between the A2/IC20 junction and the hospital junction, and the Sobreda/Almada branch of the hospital junction will also be cut". Detours will be carried out via the local network to the Centro Sul Roundabout.

There will also be a complete cut to the IC20 in the Casas Velhas junction area, in both directions, on the nights of Wednesday to Friday, with diversions being "carried out through the Casas Velhas junction, to resume the IC20", informed Brisa.
