Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal will commence in Supertubes Beach, Peniche, today, the 6 of March and run until the 16 of March, bringing together the world’s best surfers in their race to be world champions for 2024.

Portuguese fans´ hopes are with pro surfer Frederico Morais, aka “Kikas”, who is the only Portuguese surfer on tour to represent the country.

Expected surf conditions may be challenging. Despite good swell, the wind direction is predicted to be unfavourable for many competition days, leaving organisers with the difficult task of finding the right windows for the best competition times.

Throughout the days of the event, pop-up shops showcasing the latest trends of surf-wear, apparel and technology, as well as complementing products, will be open to the public in Supertubes beach, and surf shops in Peniche (Rip-Curl, 58 Surf and Surfers Lab) will hold competition-related events.
