As part of this growth, which includes 3,500 charging points in Poland and 1,500 in Spain, by 2028, the Mota-Engil Group's 'cleantech' management aims to "affirm the company as one of the market leaders in the electric mobility sector ", says the company in a statement.

Without advancing the value of the planned investment in the 7,500 charging points, ME Renewing explains that its mission is to accelerate the energy transition and the decarbonisation of companies, industry and urban centers, and to design, finance and explore sustainable and innovative solutions in the area of mobility.

Following its expansion strategy in Portugal, ME Renewing will inaugurate a new multi-power charging hub for electric vehicles in the Algarve, at the Aquashow Water Park, in Quarteira, in the district of Faro, the group company also announces Mota-Engil.

With this investment, ME Renewing "reinforces the supply of electric charging stations in this region of the country, which now has two more normal charging points (22kw), two fast (60kw) and two ultra-fast (120 kw)".

In Portugal, ME Renewing's network of charging stations for electric vehicles has 234 active charging points, 108 under construction, 102 in the pipeline and 110 in the advanced negotiation phase.

The company expects to reach the end of this year with around 500 active charging points and around 300 in its portfolio.
