According to press reports, a dead blue shark washed up on Cabedelo Beach on the morning of Sunday, August 11.
The alert was given by lifeguards who spotted the small shark.
The Civil Protection website reported at 10:52 a.m. that there was a search and rescue operation taking place relating to animals in the water at Cabedelo Beach.
