“This year the Portuguese commitment is 221.6 million euros. We, at this moment, have already fulfilled more than 50% and by the end of the year we will fulfil the remainder of this commitment”, said Nuno Melo, speaking to journalists, at the end of a ministerial meeting at the headquarters of the Atlantic Alliance, in Brussels.

This year, Portugal “has already invested 134.4 million euros in Ukraine”, under commitments in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which includes a “set of equipment and other possibilities”.

“I’m referring to helicopters, ‘drones’ [unmanned aerial vehicles], the use of our industry, namely the textile industry, training actions in all areas. Everything combined, in the end, we will reach this value”, he indicated.
