The fair featured an array of food, music, languages, and traditional costumes from around the globe, creating a joyful and memorable experience for everyone involved.
The event wasn’t just about cultural celebration—it had a deeper purpose. All proceeds were dedicated to Mud@ki, a local Almancil-based charity that supports immigrant families in their journey of integration. The success of the fair exceeded all expectations, raising an impressive €2,406.
On Friday, Mud@ki representative Liliana Pereira visited the school to receive the donation in a heartwarming presentation. The event was further graced by members of the Almancil Junta de Freguesia, whose support played a key role in the fair’s success.
Attendees were also treated to a special performance of “Make a Wish,” an original Christmas song performed by Raquelle Gracie alongside children from Mud@ki and Rise Creative Arts. The song, recorded and produced at SoundBunker—a new Almancil music studio founded by AIS parent Steve Liddle—added a magical touch to the occasion.
Strategic Director Micaela Graça shared her enthusiasm about the partnership: “AIS is proud to collaborate with Mud@ki and looks forward to building a lasting relationship with the charity.” The connection is already bearing fruit, with children from Mud@ki participating in after-school clubs at AIS. Students are also collecting toys and food in preparation for Christmas, with future plans including sporting events, creative projects, and other exciting joint initiatives.
With such an inspiring start, the Multicultural Fair promises to become a cherished annual tradition at AIS, uniting cultures and supporting the community in meaningful ways.
