According to the note on the IPMA website, the first earthquake was recorded at the Continent Seismic Network stations at 03:11 (magnitude 2.8 Richter), and the second at 03:12 (magnitude 2.9 Richter).

According to the agency, “no information” was received that the earthquakes were felt by the population.

On Monday, an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded at 1:24 pm, with its epicenter approximately 14 kilometers southwest of Seixal, Setúbal district, and felt with maximum intensity in Sintra (Lisbon) and Almada (Setúbal) and with lesser intensity in some municipalities in the Central and Algarve regions.

A day later, on Tuesday, the IPMA recorded two aftershocks of the earthquake that occurred on Monday with its epicentre close to Seixal, predicting that more could be recorded, according to what seismologist Paulo Alves told Lusa at the time.
