In a statement, the PJ said that the detainee is suspected of rape, possession of a prohibited weapon, usurpation of functions and abuse of designation, crimes that took place in an apartment where the victim was staying.

“Purporting to be a police officer while showing a fake badge, a replica firearm, a Taser device and handcuffs, the man forced the victim to perform sexual acts against her will, without her being able to react due to fear for her life”, reads the note.

According to the PJ, during the investigation, “relevant evidence was obtained, especially seizures of the aforementioned objects, which culminated in his arrest”.

The investigation continues with the aim of identifying other possible victims.
