The islands of the Central group of the Azores are today under a yellow weather warning until 15:00 local (16:00 in Lisbon), due to forecasts of heavy rain, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

According to the IPMA meteorological warning, the yellow warning for Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Pico and Faial islands has been in effect since 11:00 am today.
During this period, forecasts point to “precipitation, sometimes heavy, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms”, says the institute.
