To reach it, you need to pass through a barrier and navigate through the stunning luxury villa neighbourhood. Many people also don't know that Saudade restaurant is open to the public.

Saudade boasts a stylish interior, and the same goes for its spacious covered terrace, which offers nice views of the dunes and the ocean. Because it is a hidden gem, it is quite quiet, and sometimes that is better than sitting in the middle of a busy beach club or being somewhere where it takes an hour before there is a place for you.

The staff at Saudade are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive.

Unlike many establishments of its size, where the service may be professional but impersonal, Saudade manages to combine both qualities, making you feel truly welcomed and at home. The service is efficient and attentive—kudos to them!

Chef Rodrigo Tiago and his team create exquisite dishes! The menu is extensive and surprisingly includes a wide range of healthy options, such as salads and bowls. It's heartening to see the growing trend of restaurants incorporating more salads and vegetables into their menus, initially in major cities and now spreading to other parts of the country. For dinner, there is a separate menu available.

Mains are between 16.50 and 37.50 euro.

To start our lunch, we enjoyed a delicious red wine and a large bottle of sparkling water. As main courses, we opted for a fantastic bowl filled with barley, chickpeas, baby vegetables, arugula, cherry tomato mix, avocado, peanut sauce, and toasted coconut. You can see and taste how healthy it is. Additionally, the vegan burger is of top-notch quality, made with pea and beetroot, accompanied by spinach, red onion, roasted mushrooms, and avocado paste. There are very few restaurants that put as much care into their "simple" lunch dishes as Saudade in Almancil/Vale do Lobo!

All the food looks stunning and tastes delicious!
