"Between January and August 2024, the tourism and leisure sector received 9,668 complaints in the Electronic Complaints Book, a reduction compared to the same period in 2023, when 11,980 complaints were registered".

Air transport, regulated by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), "was the sector with the most complaints during this period, with 6,270 complaints", and "among the sectors inspected by the Food and Economic Safety Authority (ASAE), which have a total of 1,970 complaints, are restaurants (795 complaints), followed by hotels (531) and local accommodation (165)".

According to the DGC, during the same period, "Turismo de Portugal received 766 complaints about travel agencies and the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT) received 571 about short-term vehicle rentals".
